Janus
From Spanking Art
Janus is a British spanking magazine that has been published since 1971 (the first four issues under the title Mentor) and is still in print. It focuses on adult female spankees - in other words, woman spanking art and stories (F/F and M/F). It is named after the roman god Janus who has two faces.
Besides articles and photographs, Janus features illustrations and short comic strips by the artists Anton, Hardcastle and Lynn Paula Russell (also known as Paula Meadows).
In 1994, a sister magazine, Februs, was launched, with Lynn Paula Russell as its editor (until 2003). Februs was designed to appeal more to female readers and concentrate on the spontaneous and erotic aspects of spanking, rather than its use as punishment.
