Latex is a material similar to rubber. Latex as found in nature is the milky sap of many plants that coagulates on exposure to air. By processing the sap, a stretchy material can be obtained. There is also synthetic latex. Latex has come into fashion as a material for clothing.
Latex has many applications in BDSM culture. Latex is often seen as very erotic, and many skin-tight garments have been fashioned out of it. Cat suits, skirts, tops and gloves are all common latex products.
