A laundry room is a room primary design for the cleaning of clothes. As such it is designed to handle wetness and often have direct access to the outside.

Due to it outside access and tolerance to wetness it is often used as an entry point to the home when when wither the spankee or the spanker is in a state of mess that would spread the mess though out the house. When such a mess is the result of a prank or disobedience the laundry room makes a good location for the spanking during the clean up.
