Masochism

Masochism is an urge to derive sexual pleasure from pain or humiliation. As a form of BDSM play, masochism is closely related to sadism as a practice of inflicting pain.
The term masochism is derived from the of the 19th century author Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, known for his novel Venus in Furs that dealt with highly masochistic themes.
A person acting out masochism is called a masochist. The basic needs of a masochist is to be a part of another person, to be punished and feel the power of a powerful person.[1]
