Ramsey Campbell
From Spanking Art
Ramsey Campbell is Britain’s greatest living horror author, a modern master of suggestive dread. A full biography can be found on the main Wikipedia page, but what’s relevant here is his connection to spanking. Mr Campbell makes no secret of his fascination with the subject, dropping hints throughout both his fiction and nonfiction over the years.
Notable examples include:
- “Pulsating Posteriors or Strapped for Cash”, a survey of English schoolgirl spanking films.
- Incarnate, a novel that features a spanko character and several references to CP shops and films in Soho.
- “The Limits of Fantasy”, a short story about a man with spanking fantasies who casts an interesting spell on a pretty female neighbour.
- “Playing on the Edge”, the introduction to spanking model Niki Flynn’s memoir, Dances With Werewolves.
There are also spanking references in his novels The Long Lost, The Hungry Moon and The Overnight, as well as in several of his short stories.
