 2 April 2008: The wooden paddle (with holes to reduce air resistance), the classic American spanking implement. |
 3 May 2008: Wall painting from the Tomba Della Fustigazione (Flogging Grave) in the necropolis of Tarquinia in Lazio, Italy. Painted in the 6th century BC, this may be the world's oldest known depiction of erotic flagellation (MM/F). |
