The tucked-under-the-arm position is a spanking position in which the spanker sits on a couch or bed at an angle and the spankee is placed beside the spanker and tucked under the spanker's non-spanking arm, so the spankee's waist-up is behind the spanker.

The spankee is well-secured in this position and the spanker can use his/her other hand to administer the spanking.

• The frontal over-the-lap position and the straddling position are very similar, but here the spankee is not beside the spanker but over the spanker's lap, usually only over one thigh.
• The spankee can also be placed sideways over one of the spanker's knees, resulting in a variant of the over-one-knee position.
• The over-the-knee position is also similar, but differs in that the spankee is not tucked under the spanker's arm and laid fully over the spanker's lap.
• The underarm position is similar, but here both partners are standing instead of sitting/lying.
