[edit] Image:Differnt uniforms.gif
There is no source or release information for this image. Where did it come from? Who holds the copyright? has it been released under the GFDL, or put into the Public domain? If not, why are we allowed to use it here. Please provide this information or we will reluctantlty have to delete this very nice image. -Mercy (talk) 14:57, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- No it a Screen Capture from an Episode of Detecitve Conan, Taken "fair use" Commetary as the Scene was comparing the different uniforms. -Rogue (talk) 10:22, June 6 2006 (CST)
- From Spanking Art talk:Image use policy: Currently this wiki does not permit images under non-free licenses, and does not permit images which can only be sued by virtue of a claim of"Fair use". This generally means that movie clips and stills, comics, and commercially published images first published in 1964 or later cannot be used, and such images published betweeen 1924 and 1963 can only be used if it can be determined that the copyright was not renewed, which is non-trivial. See also Spanking Art:Image use policy
- I must also point out that even if we allowed images used by virtue of Fair Use on this wiki, this claim is rather weak. The articel in which you used the iamge was not a discussion of "Detecitve Conan", nor of such programs in general. Even on wikipedia, where fair use images are allowed thsi might well eb a problem. Also, for a fair use claim to be reasonable, the iamge must by properly credited.
- The image is a nice one, but I am afarid it doesn't fit thsi wiki's policy. That policy can be changed -- the matter has been discused on Spanking Art talk:Image use policy, and you could present argumetns for changign it there. But please read the arguemtns already made first, if you want to propose a change. -Mercy (talk) 15:48, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] user vs talk page
I'm sorry, I clicked wrongly and left the message for you on your user page, instead of your user talk page. TYhe user talk page is the normal wiki place to leave a message for a user, while the user page is a place for the user to say soemthing about him or herself. I have now moved the variosu msssges here to correct my error. -Mercy (talk) 15:58, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] logo
Image:Wiki.png is our freely relased logo image. I have created a scaled-down version at Image:Wiki-31x88.PNG. Feel free to revise this or to work from the larger logo if you prefer. Both are freely released under the GFDL. -Mercy (talk) 16:45, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] See also
Thanks for your variuous contributions. Please keep on.
A minor note: when there is a link to another articel within the body of an article, we do not normally list the second article in the "See also" section. For example, there is a link to Parent in the body of Sibling. Therefore ther eis no need for Parent to be listed in the "See also" section of Sibling. This also means that when a link is added to the body of an article, it may be appropriate to remove a correspondign link from the see also section.
In some cases, where the reference seems particualrly important, and the link is a bit obscure (such as if it is in the middle of a long article or if it is piped so that it is not obvious what is being linked to), it may be desireable to retain a link in the "see also" section in spite of a matching link in the body of an article. -Mercy (talk) 15:51, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:A 656.jpg
"Palcomix has a free distrobute, but no alteration policy" Can you post a link to the precise terms of their policy, please? That will help, in determining the proper license tag to put on the image. -Mercy (talk) 15:43, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Anime OTK
I erased the listing that you contributed to the free sites page for the Anime OTK site. The free sites page is for listing of websites only. The listing in question did not link to a website, but rather a discussion forum. In light of this fact I left the listing in the forums section unchanged. Anonyq2005 20:06, 8 March 2007 (UTC)anonyq2005
- The link to Anime OTK is at spanking web forums and groups. --Spankart 22:07, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- it as also a Story Site, and a Gallery Site and a Otakari, none of these functions require the forums function. --Roguebfl 23:14, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Not to mention it requires membership which though costless requires to make it a "membership group" I foget the exact term and it's not why I came here, I actually came here to say that I'm taking the liberty to remove your message from the discussion page of Ai, our Ai is under Ai_webmaster and I'm redirecting those links to him on the other pages. It's unfortunate that they have the same name, perhaps Japanese artist Ai should be moved to a new page under Ai_Artist given that their page will recieve substantially less links and traffic. RobM 00:48, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- I agree, Free spanking sites is only for sites that do not require membership. If Anime OTK has non-membership-accessible areas, these can be linked from the respective places. As to the Ais, I suggest we rename their articles Ai (artist) and Ai (webmaster). Brackets is the style used in Wikipedia, and it has the advantage that you can use a short notation with a bar in the link such as here: Ai and Ai. The bar hides the bracketed part which is pretty neat. --Spankart 22:29, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] My condolences
Hi Roguebfl, I read of your Daddy's death and wanted to offer my condolences. Spankart 20:56, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- thank you, it is appreacated --Roguebfl 23:16, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image license needed
Can you please add the source and license for the image Image:If-Then chart.jpg? Is it public domain? Spankart 09:54, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- I merely changed an off site link to that image that was embedded in the page to an on site image provided by Mariam, so I can not provide any more information than the original linker, but my question in image use policy should bear some light on the situation as the image is an image of a product. --Roguebfl 09:58, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. I deleted the image from the wiki because it's not under a free license. Spankart 18:34, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Hi Roguebfl!
Until they fixed the enhanced recent changes bug, try this URL as a workaround: http://spankingart.wikia.com/index.php?title=Special:Recentchanges&hideenhanced=1

[edit] Externalimage template
Hi Rogue, I added a template "Externalimage" for links to images that may no longer be uploaded because of our new image use policy. It will be best if we use this template throughout, this way we can edit the format later in just one place. See the Child article for an example. Spankart 21:34, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- The Template I'm trying to make would allow the extern image to be viewable, and would need to be seperate to satisfied sited link back requirements. and is not meant to circumvent banned imaged types, but allow CC-ND and CC-NC do be displace without incompatibly issue with the wiki's GFDL so would have seperat usage than the template used for images removed for content rather than license --Roguebfl (talk) 22:36, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Italics
Hi Rogue,
Stylistically I'd prefer to use italics sparingly and not formatting the lemma in italics everytime it is used in an article. Exceptions may be book and movie titles. Spankart (talk) 17:31, 18 August 2008 (BST)
[edit] Congratulations!
Congratulations Rogue, you made the 2100 article milestone! Spankart (talk) 16:38, 26 August 2008 (BST)
- Thanks 8) --Roguebfl (talk) 16:41, 26 August 2008 (BST)
[edit] Congratulations II
Congratulations to article number 2200! Good job! Spankart (talk) 09:18, 18 October 2008 (BST)
