[edit] Image licenses

Image:Tink-Gets-Spanked-0.gif and Image:Pyra-s2.gif are very nice images, but aren't they under copyright? in general we cannot use copyrighted images without permisison. See Image talk:Tink-Gets-Spanked-0.gif for more on this. I fear we may ahveb to delete these images unless you can indicate how we are allowed to use them. -Mercy ^(talk) 14:02, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

I am sorry to tell you that this wiki does not accept images used under fair use claims. See Spanking Art:Image use policy and Spanking Art talk:Image use policy. This generally includes screenshots of copyrighted works, and images derived from such screen shots. You can see the reasons for this discussed on the talk page I linked to above. Ah. I thought that Title 17 / Section 107 of the U.S. Code... applied for stuff like this. However, I did a little further reading on this site, and learned that the Fair Use provisions don't apply here. So, I'm going to go ahead and delete the animations here and just leave a link to where they are sitting in my Photobucket space.

You have to be an "admin" to delete pages. I have already deleted the two pages with your animations -- and I do want to say, they are very nice animations, and they are quite plausibly usable as fair use in a proper setting, IMO. You wrote "(haven't figured out how to actually embed an image here yet...) " Imagfe embddign is possible, but according to wikia (our host) could be turned off at any tiem without warning. If you are willing to relase the image under the GFDL, adn you hold all rights to it, it can be uplaoded. If not, simply linking to it is probably better. -Mercy ^(talk) 23:26, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] verse formatting

If a bunch of adjacent lines all start with a space, they are displayed together in a shaded area and in a fixed-width font. I think this was designed for compute code, but it works nicely for verse. i used it for the example verse in Spanking verse. if you like the effect, feel free to sue it on your user page, but it is not in the least required. -Mercy ^(talk) 23:30, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
